Our 2022-2023 budget will fund:

Music ~ Technology ~ GATE/Honors ~ Department stipends for English, History, Math, Science, PE, ESL, Special Education, Foreign Language, Art, Food, Drama, Computers, Audio Visual departments ~ Nurse ~ Counselor & Student Needs ~ Field Trips for all students ~ Professional Development courses for our teachers ~ After School Enrichment Programs

This year is an important year for the HoPE Fund (Help Portola Excel) campaign and fundraiser and will support THE ENTIRE STUDENT BODY with brand new technology, technology support, field trips, assistance in the maintenance of the daily operation of the school and subsidizing staff positions as needed. We will also support each department with educational materials (i.e. English, English Language Learners, Math, Science, Social Studies, Special Education, Physical Education, Music, Art, Drama and More). Our specific goals include upgrading computers and chromebooks on campus!

For the last several years in LAUSD we have seen layoff notices, budget cuts, diminishing resources and uncertainty at all levels. Here at Portola, we have much to celebrate. Our dedicated teachers, strong administrators and enthusiastic students continue to strive for the best education and the richest academic experience. We HoPE to make 2022-2023 another successful year for all our students. In order for them to excel, your financial support is more urgent than ever. We are asking each family to make a 100% tax-deductible donation of $400 per student. This is a suggested amount. We appreciate and value donations of any amount and encourage those who can to donate above the suggested amount. All donations of $50 or more will receive a Portola Spirit Magnet! Donations of $500 or more will receive recognition via a prominently displayed family banner on Yolanda (business banners are available too, please inquire for more information).
