This year is an important year for the HoPE Fund (Help Portola Excel) campaign 

The Friends of Portola HoPE Fund has recently accomplished

• electrical upgrade in the MPR (multi-purpose room or “auditorium”)
• two filtrated water bottle filling stations
• classroom supplies & plagiarism -detection software (including AI safeguards)
• Teacher Stipends and after-school enrichment programs
• new garden area 

Why Your Gift Matters

LAUSD continues to face layoffs & budget cuts. The HoPE Fund fills in the shortfall so our students can enjoy: 

• Access to essential tech and equipment
• well-rounded arts, STEM & enrichment programs
• vital health, counseling & student support services
• A supportive environment where teachers thrive with professional growth

 We are asking each family to make a 100% tax deductible donation of $400 per student. We appreciate and value donations of any amount. No amount is too small to make a difference! We also encourage those who can donate above the suggested amount to do so.

All donations of $50 or more will receive a Portola Spirit  Magnet!

Donations of $800 or more will receive recognition via a displayed family  banner on Yolanda (please fund by November 15th)  for a banner ~ business banners are available too, please inquire here for more information).
